About Me

Data Analyst

Data analyst with a background in quality assurance management in food manufacturing. Acquired a B.S. in Food Science and Technology and minor in Chemistry from Oregon State University. Recently completed a fast-paced 26-week intensive, 200+ hours course on Data Analysis through the University of Denver. This course focused on practical technical skills needed to solve data problems using mediums like Excel, Python, JavaScript, SQL Databases, Tableau, and more.

As a quality assurance supervisor, I had developed Excel workbooks for documenting internal data on food safety analysis, product performance, risk assessments, and microbiological tracing. Analytical problem solving and good communication/presentation abilities within the QA department was necessary for third party audits with governing officials and industry standard affiliates. As interim-quality assurance manager during audit season, the programs I developed and presented resulted in a 98/100 score for the rigorous annual Safe Quality Food (SQF) audit.

I am always curious about the story data can tell, therefore pursuing an additional set of skills in data analytics seemed to align perfectly with the exposure I have had in my previous work experience. I enjoy puzzling challenges and look forward to increasing my knowledge of data analysis in my future career!

Aside from being an avid learner, I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors by camping, hiking, biking, or geocaching. I also enjoy reading and am always open to book suggestions. As someone who attended culinary school, some of my favorite pastimes are baking and cooking. I often experiment with this last hobby and have begun to make a variety of fresh cheeses.
